Caracas, located in northern Venezuela, is the capital and largest city of Venezuela. La Casa Natal de Simon Bolivar, Bolivar's birthplace, is another major attraction located in the historic center. Along the northern side of Caracas is the mountain range Cordillera de Ávila. Here, there is a national park with many hiking trails and a great diversity of wildlife. Caracas is located amidst a spectacular setting, and it is a fascinating city replete with excellent art, food, and a bustling nightlife. It is also a perfect base from which to explore the beauty, the wilderness, and the secrets of Venezuela.
