Refugio Caribeño: Playa y Bienestar en Samaná

This hotel lies on the Samaná peninsula between two of the most beautiful locations in the world of outstanding natural beauty, the Bay of Samaná and the Bay of Escocesa. The famous humpback whales come to the local waters to mate between December and March. Opened in 2006, this beachside hotel comprises a total of 103 rooms and offers guests access to wonderful gardens. Facilities include a theatre hall, 3 restaurants, and a small shopping arcade for the purchasing of basic products and souvenirs. All of the rooms feature a full en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a hire safe, a minibar, a breakfast table with two chairs, a double or king-sized bed, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is a swimming pool and a large sun terrace where sun loungers and parasols have been laid out ready for use in the outdoor complex. Shows and other entertainment are staged in the theatre. There are 2 tennis courts to make use of, as well as a paddle tennis court, a gym and, on payment of additional fees, an array of spa and massage treatments to choose from. It is possible to play badminton or to go rowing. All meals are available in a buffet form; the evening meal may be taken in one of the two à la carte restaurants or chosen from a menu.
